LEGAL SECRETARY – DOVER OFFICE

We are looking to recruit a permanent full-time experienced legal secretary to support our busy Dover office.

We are looking for someone to work 5 days a week Monday to Friday, ideally 9.30am to 5pm, although some flexibility regarding start times would be considered.

The role will be office based at our friendly branch office in Dover

Candidates must possess:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary

  • Excellent keyboard/audio skills

  • Good administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel

  • A flexible approach with the ability to multitask and work for multiple fee earners

  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team

  • Professional and articulate telephone manner with ability to take accurate messages

PARALEGAL– FAMILY AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

We are looking to recruit a full-time paralegal our busy Family and Dispute Resolution departments.

We are looking for a motivated client focused individual to assist the fee earners in their day-to-day work.

The role will be office based at our friendly offices in Maidstone.

Duties will include –

·         Undertaking client meetings and taking notes

·         The opening and closing of files ensuring all regulatory compliance is adhered to

·         Drafting applications and witness statements

·         Time recording

·         Billing

·         Drafting letters

·         Communicating with other parties

·         Preparing electronic court bundles

·         Booking counsel

·         Research

·         Undertaking such other tasks as required

Candidates must possess:

  • Excellent keyboard skills

  • Good administrative, communication and organisational skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel

  • A sound knowledge of Adobe Pro

  • Good IT skills and the ability to operate a case management system

  • Sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and Family Procedure Rules

  • A flexible approach with the ability to multitask and work for multiple fee earners

  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team

  • Professional and articulate telephone manner with ability to take accurate messages

Candidates must have a qualifying law degree or at least 2 years Paralegal Experience.
